Teamwork on Digital Transformation Challenges I (10SMSTS-202)

Description

In this module, students work on interdisciplinary projects that address challenges related to digital transformation. Under the guidance of a researcher from the Digital Society Initiative (DSI), students collaborate in interdisciplinary teams of 3-5 members. Each team member takes on defined responsibilities and contributes specific digital skills to the project.
After an initial innovation phase, each team engages in an exchange with experts from the DSI network. Depending on the project's focus, teams receive guidance on appropriate digital methods and approaches, as well as input on ethical, legal, social and other relevant considerations.
In a follow-up module (6 ECTS) in the spring semester, students have the opportunity to further develop and implement their project ideas in practice.

Testimonials

  • Till H. W. Baier

"This intriguing course offers students a practical introduction into transdisciplinary collaboration and teaches key skills required to work on interdisciplinary projects within the dynamic realm of digitalization. Specifically, I had the opportunity to work in a small and diverse team of four on a fascinating project investigating the effect of virtual reality on different attitudes and behaviors. Additionally, this course offers the valuable but somewhat rare opportunity to network with researchers and students from all faculties."

Till Baier, Master-student Political Communication & Governance and Digital Skills
