XP Lab Innovation (10SMSTS-611)
Description
Immerses students in experiential innovation practice, based on the competences they have developed in the Foundations of Innovation module in the first half of the semester. Across seven hands on sessions in the second half of the semester, they explore how innovation emerges under uncertainty and complexity, using methods such as foresight, design thinking, systems mapping and ethical reasoning. In interdisciplinary teams, students develop concepts, prototype solutions, and pitch their results while engaging in structured reflection.
By the end of XP Lab Innovation, students are able to:
- Identify and analyse innovation opportunities in uncertain and complex environments using foresight, scenario thinking, and systems thinking.
- Design, prototype, and evaluate innovative solutions through design thinking, creative experimentation, and user‑centred approaches.
- Assess ethical, societal, and organizational implications of innovation and emerging technologies and propose responsible actions.
- Collaborate effectively in interdisciplinary teams, integrating diverse perspectives and co‑creating actionable outcomes.
- Communicate innovation concepts convincingly through storytelling, visualization, data‑supported arguments, and structured pitches.
- Reflect on experimentation, failure, and learning, strengthening resilience, adaptability, and professional growth.
