Would you like to learn how to convey knowledge effectively and engagingly, and how to support others in their learning process? The Start! Teaching for Students modules will provide you with didactic essentials to help you become actively and successfully involved in teaching. Whether as a tutor at university or in a teaching role as profession or in your free time, the skills you acquire will help you design the process of knowledge transfer in a conscious and motivating way. We will introduce techniques to help you reach your target audiences as effectively as possible, from the planning stage through to implementation.
This module is therefore ideal for anyone who wants to explore teaching and knowledge transfer in a hands-on, practical way!
This module imparts essential didactic principles. You will learn how to convey knowledge and support others on their learning journey. It is an ideal preparation for a tutor role. The module includes a self-paced OLAT online course and a 3-hour workshop (online or in-person).
The OLAT course consists of 5 sections:
1. Defining roles
2. Feedback and evaluation
3. Presentation skills
4. Lesson planning
5. Online teaching
