In the modules of the tutor qualification program, you will learn how to convey your knowledge and support others in their learning process. The modules cover situations that you may encounter within the university teaching context as a tutor and as a student, but also outside the university, for example, in the professional world or during your leisure time.

Start! Teaching Essentials (10SMSTS-500)
Description
This module imparts essential didactic principles. You will learn how to convey knowledge and support others in their learning process. It is ideal preparation for a role as a tutor. The module includes a self-paced OLAT online course and a 3-hour workshop (online or in-person).
The OLAT course consists of 5 sections:
1. Defining roles
2. Feedback and evaluation
3. Presentation skills
4. Lesson planning
5. Online teaching

Start! Practice your Teaching (10SMSTS-501)
Description
This module offers the opportunity to deepen and actively practice specific didactic topics such as gamification, science communication, presentation skills, or creating teaching materials. These topics are provided either as synchronous workshops (one-day on-site) or as asynchronous self-learning units on OLAT. To complete the module, students must attend two workshops and complete one asynchronous self-learning unit from the rotating semester offerings.
