School for Transdisciplinary Studies

Digital Transformation - Overview & Reflection (10SMDSI_DTOR)

Description

This module provides students with an academic overview of the digital transformation from a multidisciplinary perspective. Students will receive scientific inputs from various DSI professors and learn to address and reflect about the challenges, opportunities, and consequences of the digital transformation.

Furthermore, students get to participate in an intensive artistic reflection workshop with Jonathon Keats, artist and advisor in metadisciplinary studies at the DSI. Students will reflect on the blindness to change we are experiencing in relation to the digital transformation of our society. In their own artistic works, students will provide inspiration for a society worth living in.

This course is offered at the Digital Society Initiative (DSI), which is supported by all faculties of the UZH. With interdisciplinary activities in research, education and outreach, the DSI is the University of Zurich's (UZH) centre of excellence on digital transformation.
