Measures to compensate for disadvantages

Students with a medically certified disability or a chronic illness should contact the  Disability Office.

The Disability Office will examine whether or not and if so to what extent measures to counter the effects of the disability or illness are possible (cf. § 25 of the Ordinance on Admission to Studies at the University of Zurich [OAS]). Please find information regarding registration with the Disability Office directly on the mentioned website.
If you receive a positive decision from the Disability Office, you can submit an application for compensatory measures for assessments to the Office of the School for Transdisciplinary Studies by e-mail at least four weeks before the deadline for the assessment. Requests submitted later cannot be considered for organizational reasons.

If you hold a "Recommendation for Accommodation Measures" (ENTA) form that is valid for longer than one semester, you may submit it for the corresponding STS module in the current semester at the STS office.

Applications for compensatory measures must be submitted anew for each semester. Especially if you are applying for compensatory measures for the first time, the registration and application process takes a lot of time. We therefore recommend that you initiate the evaluation process with the Disability Office early (if possible at the beginning of the semester).

If you have any questions, please contact theSTS Office.
