Executive Board

The Executive Board is the academic decision-making body of the School for Transdisciplinary Studies. It defines and approves the mission statement and the quality criteria of the STS. Furthermore, the Executive Board decides on the STS’ course portfolio and determines its strategic direction and its further development. In addition, it is responsible for the quality assurance and evaluation of new and existing courses.

The Executive Board of the STS is composed of:

  • the Vice President Education and Student Affairs
  • three Vice Deans of Studies from the faculties at UZH
  • three representatives of the providers and initiatives involved in the STS

The members of the Executive Board of the STS are appointed on the proposal of the Vice President Education and Student Affairs. The Executive Board of the University decides on the nomination. The members are appointed for a term of two years; reappointment is possible.

The Executive Board of the STS meets at least twice a year.
